Olu is a leadership and organization development consultant and executive coach with more than two decades of experience working with clients across local and federal government, private, not-for-profit, secondary education, and higher education sectors.

Olu has consulted and coached within such client systems as Block Inc., the Federal Bar Association, the Executive Leadership Council, Capital One, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, and Yum! Brands. In addition to his consulting practice, Olu also serves in coaching capacities at three U.S.-based universities: George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, American University’s Key Executive Leadership Programs, and the Executive MBA Program at the Olin School of Business at Washington University of St. Louis. Prior to his consulting experience, Olu worked in the nation’s capital’s leading employer in human resources, where he trained and coached senior agency leaders while managing the premier executive leadership program that prepared select senior agency leaders for cabinet-level positions within government.

A natural communicator, Olu counts storytelling as part of his strengths and, where appropriate, includes them in his engagements as he encourages his clients to craft their own legend. A student of inquiry, he treats the interrogative as the imperative in establishing connection, and most importantly, breakthrough.

Olu is certified in several assessments including the Leadership Circle Profile 360, the Collective Leadership Assessment, the Emotional-Social Competency Inventory 360, the EQi 2.0 and EQ 360, the Intercultural Development Inventory, the Hogan 360, the Key Polarity Indicator, the Polarities Approach to Continuity and Transformation, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Olu is also certified as an Advanced Change Leader with Kotter International. Olu holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and also holds a global individual accreditation as a Coaching Senior Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

A lifelong learner and practitioner, Olu is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University, where he also earned a certification in Comprehensive Evidence-Based Coaching. In addition, Olu holds a Master’s in Organization Development & Change from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature from Howard University.
